We are so proud of Marly Longinotti, our Dental Hygienist and Myofunctional Therapist at our pediatric orthodontic practice in Rogers. She completed her myofunctional therapy certification program in La Jolla, California with Joy Moeller, making her one of a very select group of myofunctional therapists in our state! Since completing her certification, Marley has been putting her skills to great use with our patients, leading myofunctional therapy activities. Great work, Marley!
This spring, Dr. Mahon attended The Silent Airway Connection: Its Impact on Development, Performance & Health in Chicago, Illinois. The conference focused on the link between obstructed airways and issues such as poor facial development, malocclusions and sleep disorders.
The event was hosted by The American Academy of Physiological Medicine & Dentistry (AAPMD), of which Dr. Mahon is a member, in conjunction with The Academy of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (AOMT). Practitioners from around the world came together for this multidisciplinary conference, from dentists and orthodontists to myofunctional and speech therapists.
We're excited to implement what he learned in our pediatric orthodontic program!
